Magnetic Stripe Card

Magnetic Stripe card (sometimes also called magstripe card or swipe card), is read by swiping past a magnetic reading head. There are stripe of LoCo 300OE, LoCo 650 OE, HiCo 2750 OE and HiCo 4000OE, which can embedded information to identify its user.

Magstripe card may not work once the stripe is dirty, scratched or demagnetized, from which the more secure smart card is now replacing the magnetic stripe card, especially in credit cards and debit cards, but magstripe cards are still used in many application, like hotel lock system, driver’s licenses and so on.
